Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented therapeutic model for healing trauma and other stress disorders.

In a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate space, we work to reconnect your mind, body and spirit and transform the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma and PTSD. Together, we develop the skills you need to resolve any trapped flight, flight and freeze responses that are causing stress and tension in the body, and help you regulate the nervous system to find more ease, flow, energy and alignment.

I can help with healing for:

Shock trauma
PTSD
Anxiety
Bereavement and loss
Depression
Major life changes

I’m Nadia (she/her), a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner, Breathworks-accredited Mindfulness teacher, and foundation graduate in NeuroAffective Touch®. I offer body-based, compassion-led therapy to support those living with the effects of trauma – whether recent, developmental, or generational.

Like many who are drawn to this work, my path here began with my own search for healing. Lived experience of trauma, combined with a deep curiosity about how the body holds and processes it, led me to explore mindfulness, Eastern spiritual traditions, and somatic approaches. Over time, I discovered it was compassion – particularly embodied compassion – that helped me shift long-held patterns and reconnect with myself more fully.

This is the foundation of how I work with others: gently, respectfully, and with deep care. I’m especially interested in how trauma shows up in the body, and I create safe, non- judgemental spaces for clients to explore at their own pace.

I’ve co-designed and delivered courses at the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust Recovery Academy, on gender identity, sexual orientation, trauma, and my practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive.

I’ve trained with Papyrus in Applied Suicide Skills Intervention. Delivered Trauma-sensitive mindfulness sessions to Breast Cancer Now events and participated in Trauma Informed Care, Leadership and Culture workshops for the Greater Manchester Mental Trust.

I’ve also enjoyed being a guest lecturer for University of Lancashire, School of Psychology and Computer Science students, sharing lived experience.

I’m fully insured and committed to ongoing professional development. I adhere to the codes of practice set by the Complimentary Therapists Association, EASE and BAMBA, as well as the Breathworks Code of Conduct, and I am listed as a NeuroAffective Touch Foundation Graduate on the NeuroAffective Touch Institute’s practitioner listing.

If you’re curious about whether this work might support you, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. You’re very welcome here.
